This weekend past I made a thread catcher. I had found the pattern a while ago but kept putting off making it because I didn’t have an embroidery hoop. I finally bought one at Walmart, but it was plastic, so a little more expensive than the wooden kind. Anyway, I’m glad I made the investment because I now love my new thread catcher. It is fun to twist down to it’s fold up size as well. The pattern is available as a free download. Below are pictures of the one I made, both twisted down and popped up.
